While crunching the numbers to choose an accounting program, two figures you will want to consider are the CPA pass rate and CPA re-exam rate. A high pass rate coupled with a low re-exam rate is an indicator of students successfully completing the exam on the first try. Year after year, Southeast's accounting grads have a consistent above-average pass rate and one of the lowest re-exam rates in Missouri. Plus, graduates from the Accounting, Economics, and Finance department at Southeast have a 91% Successful Outcome Rate when it comes to employment after college.

Students graduate from Southeast ready to excel in the modern classroom. Future educators learn the foundations of pedagogy while training on the latest classroom tech in the EDvolution Center, an Apple-based environment with tools like 3D printers, laser-cutting equipment, a podcasting booth, virtual reality room, coding equipment, and a green screen recording room. The program also offers the opportunity for student teaching abroad through our partnership with Eagles College in Iquique, Chile.

High-paying careers in computing are on the rise, but they're not just a trendy trade to us. Southeast's Department of Computer Science has more than 50 years of experience. The program started in the 1960s and has been accredited by the Computing Accreditation Board of Engineering Technology (ABET) since 2010. For students looking to continue education after their bachelor's, Southeast offers both a Master's in applied computer science and a master's in cybersecurity.

Southeast's nursing students reported an impressive 100% Successful Outcome Rate and 100% NCLEX-RN licensure exam pass rate last year. As if those numbers aren't impressive enough, we have more. In the classroom, nursing majors enjoy faculty-to-student ratios of 1:8-9 their first year of nursing courses, and over 50% of nursing faculty have doctoral degrees.

Nursing students study in the newly-renovated Crisp Hall, complete with assessment and skills labs and a new simulation lab where students can learn and apply clinical and patient care skills before heading out to complete required practicum hours in real healthcare facilities.

Students studying in the Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance will train and perform at the beautiful River Campus, Missouri's only campus dedicated to the art, dance, music, and theatre. A student talking to an academic advisor in an office

Southeast is an undecided student's dream school. Nearly 25% of Redhawks enter freshman year without a major in mind. With a wide variety of programs of study, we're bound to have the right fit.

As an exploratory student, you'll have access to the tools you need to help you find the right path once you're here. If you haven't yet chosen an area of study, you'll be paired up with an academic advisor who can help you choose classes that fit general education requirements and allow you to explore your interests at the same time. Southeast also offers free 1:1 career counseling to help students make sense of their passions and priorities. At Southeast, all of our career counselors have, at a minimum, a master's degree in counseling or a related field.
